Every Power Rangers incarnation has had a carrier vehicle that usually bolsters the offensive capabilities of the Power Rangers when they are in dire straits. This Megazord is such, and acts as the transportation method to get the Rescue Zords, or the Omega Zords, to/from areas where they're needed.
Also this is the last set I own in the series, as there is one other Megazord set that I never acquired - the Omega Zords.

What makes up this vehicle set are five different train engines. The Red Ranger's (1) is in the style of a steam locomotive, Blue Ranger's(2) is really more of a box car  - or possibly a subway engine, Green Ranger's(3) is in the style of a two sided cab, Yellow Ranger's(4) is in the style of a diesel engine, and finally Pink Ranger's(5) is in the style of the Bullet Train engine.
Initially most of the stickers came applied, but if memory serves correctly, there was a large sheet with a good portion of stickers for each engine. Included, and lost to time, were soft plastic antennas for Red's engine, and the electric antennas for Blue's engine.

Gimmicks:

Each car opens to reveal a fold out ramp (except for the Green Ranger's aerial vehicle, the lid opens up for a bay for the VTOL aircraft to land in) to load/unload the Ranger's Zords.
Flip out front bumpers that double as laser cannons and other Hidden weaponry
Semi articulate hands
fully accurate to the show, chrome highlights and panel detailing
Morph between convoy and Megazord
Actual rolling ability (yes each engine has free rolling wheels).

Assembly:
Under each end of the engines a coupling or a stick is available that can be slid out to form the convoy. Usually Red Ranger's engine makes up the leader and follows numerically in order.
after that (from the rear of Pink's engine - with the opening top panel for Green Ranger's engine) the left side of the engines can open and produce a storage bay with a pull out ramp for the vehicles to drive up onto, and then stowed away within the engines.

Transformation:
Remove each Rescue Zord, or keep them in there, and seperate the engines. Starting with #1 pull the engine head off and slide the rear of the engine forward. Then attach the engine head to the pegs on the left side. A circular piece will have been exposed by the sliding action, take this piece and lock it against the belly of the engine. #2 the exact same actions as before, only the connecting pegs are on the right of the engine. #3's is a little challenging, from the front of the first set of windows pull apart of the halves, this allows the front piece to lift up and lock against the door that covers the bay for the vehicle. Flip the rear head piece down and you've got the head of the Super Train, flip up the gold colored plastic over the eyes forming half curved decorations.  Finally flip the wheels closest to the head to expose a pair of large pegs. #4's and #5's transformation are identical. Flip the head of the engine upward, then push the ends of the engines forward exposing large pegs.
Slide each peg into their respective holes on the other engines until you hear a pop, meaning the connecting pegs have successfully combined.
Morphing is complete, behold the ginormous SuperTrain Megazord! Oh and the last hidden weapon? Flip down #2's front panel on the shoulder to reveal an array of missiles!

Articulation is fairly limited to just the arms and hands, really like any Power Rangers' Zord which is all about re-enacting the transformation seen on TV, but given the sheer size of this toy and the attention to detail this is one pretty cool toy. Engineering and design is well done as well, as the sliding parts ensure the bays don't unexpectedly open, while the large pegs and locking holes ensure that if a child lifts this toy up it won't fall apart and potentially fall apart creating a painful accident. Even with the additional weight of having the Rescue Zords in their bays.
Finally one additional gimmick is #1's front coupling, this is meant to attach to the back of the Solar Max Zord creating an even longer convoy.
The convoy's total length? 65 Inches (5 feet and 5 inches). This toy's size is only second to Pyramidis from the Zeo incarnation, and one of the last giant carry Zords to be made. After this most of the Zords began to be made smaller and the carrier types are made to the same scale with mini-vehicles to emphasize the size difference.

Grade:  A
The sliding pieces are starting to stick slightly, and #3's lower leg halves are hard to separate at times. The opening bay panels also stick at times, as well as the fold out ramps. Sticker wear is practically zero, and transformation stability is 100%. While in convoy mode there are some squeaky wheels, but nothing that stops the trains from rolling.  Definitely one of the many toes out there that can tolerate age, induce nostalgia, or for the new collector a fine vintage piece.
Yes this is a vintage piece...it's over a decade old now, and without really examining it thoroughly to find the date stamp, one would think this is a relatively recent figure.

Original Megazord size comparison. No not the 2012 Anniversary one...
